A beautifully curated European-style fine food market. The desserts were a highlight — the macaroon wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. And you can't go wrong with a good carrot cake 🥕
What our customers say
Every few months I stop by with the same list: buckwheat, dairy, bread, something sweet — and sometimes smoked fish. This time one red fillet stood out — different colour, better texture. They pointed me to a lightly cured, low-salt option. Bread, cream cheese, thick slice on top. God bless whoever made it! Clean, balanced, done right. Worth coming back for.
My favourite European grocery store. Living in Yorkville, I still find time to visit — freshly made European foods, warm baked breads, delicious cakes and pastries. I walked in the other day with crutches and a young security man rushed to give a hand, helped me get what I needed and carried a heavy basket for me. High quality delicious foods and human kindness. Thank you.
The Medovik (Honey Cake) was awesome — honey layers with sour cream and custard, not too sweet and not too heavy, the perfect combo. We also tried the Apple Turnover, Maple Pecan Turnover and Cream & Raisin Bun — all fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Every Friday I do my weekly shop at Bathurst Village — prepared foods, produce, meats and bread. The prepared foods are always fresh and delicious. The counter staff, Victoria and Zoya, are always smiling, pleasant and warm. The service and quality are better than Pusateri and Summerhill. I am always recommending Bathurst Village to my friends who are now also regular customers.
Best place in Ontario to get Russian, Georgian and Ukrainian food! I take a 450 KM bus ride to shop here! Worth every dollar!!!
Definitely the best Russian supermarket I've ever been to! It's so clean, and the ladies at the food and deli counter are super nice and helpful. So many products remind me of home. It really stays true to its roots.
Visited with my 2 boys (six and 11, very hungry and picky). The lovely young woman behind the salad / hot food bar was very patient explaining the dishes ❤️ We got the beef and rice crepe pierogi, coleslaw, chicken schnitzel, yellow rice, egg salad and chicken shawarma — everything was delicious!! Their desserts are amazing too, my dad always buys birthday cakes here!
Great bakery and interesting finds at this market. They even have alcoholic chocolate which is soo good, and Kinder ice cream I've never seen elsewhere. Highly recommend the croissant — very flakey and delicious. Update: the cheesecake and the gorgeous 'queen' macaroon are excellent too.
In comparison to other Russian deli places, they definitely stand out — the variety and taste of their hot table, and the variety of their deli and cheese departments. Staff is very polite and helpful. Thank you.
A small market with an excellent community feel in the middle of the big city. Lots of yummy treats, great tasting food and friendly service. A real hidden gem right under your nose!
I ordered Medovik (Honey cake) for my friend's birthday. Absolutely delicious — fresh and it tasted amazing. I've ordered Medovik from other stores but this one is a winner! I also recommend the Smetannik (sour cream cake) — the best compared to all other stores.
Delicatessen and baked goods are very good, popular European style. They also have a hot table with delicious Russian coziness. Highly recommend.
Anything pickled, smoked, or fermented is like being transported back in time to Eastern Europe.
High quality Eastern European market with competitive prices. There's a hot foods/prepared salads section, smoked fish/deli meats and a cheese counter. The bakery section is excellent — baked goods that look beautiful and are consistently high quality. An excellent neighbourhood grocery store, well worth visiting.
I love this place and come here not only for the food, but for the customer service. The cashiers always make great conversation and treat you with dignity and respect. Thank you all for giving me a really great experience each time I come back!
Our go-to Russian store. Usually it's not very busy and it mostly has what we want at reasonable prices. There is no need to go all the way to Yummy Market.
Beautiful food for the soul. Just like Mom makes at home.
